Indiana High School Football Huddle
39 football teams will be playing in new classification during the 2011 and 2012 high school football seasons.
The Indiana High School Athletics Association re-classified the teams as part of its two-year examination of enrollments for all sports in the state's four classification system.
Here are the football changes according to a news release on the IHSAA website.
Moving from 4A to 5A (4)
Anderson, Fort Wayne South Side, Fort Wayne Wayne, Franklin Community
Moving from 5A to 4A (4)
Columbus East, East Chicago Central, Mishawaka, Richmond
Moving from 3A to 4A (6)
Frankfort, Hammond Clark, Leo, New Prairie, NorthWood, Norwell
Moving from 4A to 3A (3)
Gary Wallace, Indianapolis Arlington, Indianapolis Northwest
Moving from 4A to 2A (1)
Indianapolis Broad Ripple
Moving from 2A to 3A (6)
Brownstown Central, Garrett, Greencastle, Mitchell, Tri-West Hendricks, Whitko
Moving from 3A to 2A (3)
